Dr. Thierry Mathou is actively involved in Bhutan studies and has been visiting Bhutan once a year or every two years for the last 25years. His visits have been for scholarly purposes and have made several publications on Bhutan’s political history and development. The main purpose of his visit this time was to study the political transition in the country and visit eastern Bhutan.
The Chairperson welcomed him and shared his views on the current political situation, the role of the National Council, challenges that the members of the National Council could face in future and views of the House on the current diplomatic affairs of the country. Read More »
