Parliament's Joint Committee Meeting on European Investment Bank Framework Agreement

Joint Committee members met to discuss the European Investment Bank Framework Agreement in the National Council Conference Hall on Friday.

The National Council rejected EIB in its last session after it was passed by National Assembly on the ground that the principles and some of the provisions of the bill undermines the sovereignity of the country and conflicts with the existing laws including the immigration rules and regulation of the country.

The joint committee was instituted to resolve the disputed sections of the bill and present their recommendation to the joint session of the Parliament.

This will be further deliberated in the Joint Sitting of Parliament of July 1st, 2016.
