Presentation by Ministry of Finance

The members led by the Chairperson of the National Council (NC) attended the presentation on “Macroeconomic Performance & Outlook” and “National Budget Formulation” organised by the Ministry of Finance today afternoon. Besides the officials from the Ministry, the Minister for Finance also took part in the discussions.

The presentation included the current financial situation of the country, budget process and a forum to discuss the way forward to enhance the country's financial situation.

After the presentations, the NC members and the officials from MoF had an intensive discussion on the rationalization of the overall financial situation of the country, revenue broadening strategies and how to reduce the unnecessary expenditure in the coming years.
