The Ambassador of Bangladesh to Bhutan pays courtesy call on to Hon’ble Chairperson

His Excellency Jishnu Roy Choudhury, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Bhutan paid a courtesy call on to His Excellency Hon'ble Tashi Dorji, Chairperson of the National Council of Bhutan today.

The Ambassador offered Tashi Khadhar and expressed his heartiest congratulation to the Hon'ble Chairperson. Cordially welcoming the Ambassador, the Hon'ble Chairperson expressed his appreciation for the generous gesture.

At the call on, they underlined that Bhutan and Bangladesh not only shares religious ties from time immemorial, but also in time extended friendly relation at various levels after the formal diplomatic ties was established in 1971. Recalling the visits made by the previous members of the Parliaments of Bhutan, they emphasized on continuing and strengthening the Bhutan-Bangladesh Parliamentary Friendship, which was instituted during the second tenure of the Parliament of Bhutan.
