The Hon’ble Chairperson of the National Council continued with the advocacy programme at the College of Natural Resources (CNR) this morning. The Hon'ble Dzongda from Punakha Dzongkhag Administration, faculties and more than 700 students participated in the advocacy session.
He underlined that in fulfilling the review process of the National Council, the relevant Committee conducts stakeholder meetings and hearings while reviewing, amending and ratifying various legislations and policies.
In the interactive session, the Hon'ble Chairperson responded to queries on issues related to harmful use of alcohol and drugs; youth unemployment; national security; national debt; waste management; and importance of Dzongkha amongst others.
In his concluding remarks, the Chairperson advised the students to work hard and have aspirations for the future.
