Review of Situation of Human Trafficking in Bhutan by Social and Cultural Affairs Committee

The Social and Cultural Affairs Committee of the National Council of Bhutan carried out a field visit to Samtse and Phuntsholing from 7th April 2019 to 14th April 2019 as part of the ongoing review of Situation of Human Trafficking in Bhutan. The Committee held meetings with Samtse Dzongkhag, Phuntsholing Drungkhag, Royal Bhutan Police, Regional Immigration and Labour Offices as well as meeting with the Drayang employees and employers to hear their views and understand the current situation.

SCAC will present the findings of the report in the upcoming session.
