Public Accounts Committee (PAC) began its hearing/consultative meeting on unresolved irregularities of Annual Audit Reports.

Posted on :25 July 2019

Upholding the resolutions of sixth and eight sessions of the second Parliament and first session of the third Parliament, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) began its hearing/consultative meeting on unresolved irregularities from 2010-17 starting with Haa Dzongkhag Administration and Paro Gewogs administration in Paro Rinpung Dzong today.

As a part of its review process, PAC facilitates a platform to hear, understand and resolve, or, arrive at mutually agreeable way forward to settle various unresolved irregularities by the audited agencies through active participation of Royal Audit Authority.

His Majesty’s words of wisdom “As a developing country, we have limited resources. We must manage our available resources wisely, minimize waste, and ensure that all our resources are directed at improving the wellbeing of the people, and in fulfilling our national vision” constantly remind and guide PAC ‘s sacred constitutional mandates.

PAC will continue the similar process with other audited agencies in Trashingang and Gelephu in the coming weeks and later in Phuntsholing.
