The Legislative Committee of the National Council continued its consultation meetings

The Legislative Committee of the National Council continued its consultation meetings with the key stakeholders in Phuentsholing. In the meeting today, the State Mining Corporation highlighted its concerns about certain provisions of the Mines and Minerals Bill 2020, including it's performance.
Earlier yesterday, the members of Legislative Committee visited river dredging sites on the bank of Amochhu followed by the meeting with the Bhutan Exporters Association and others in the afternoon. The meeting focussed on issues related to river dreging, stone quarry and exports of boulders and aggregates.
