GGC Consults ACC on the Anti-Corruption (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2021
October 4, 2021: Good Governance Committee (GGC) of the National Council conducted its consultation meeting with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of Bhutan to discuss on the Anti-Corruption (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2021. Seven officials from the Commission led by Hon’ble Chairperson attended the consultation meeting. 
The Commission made a comprehensive presentation on proposed amendment submitted to the National Assembly and actual provisions amended by the National Assembly. Subsequent to the presentation, the Meeting discussed on wide range of issues concerning organizational and human resource independence of the Commission, constitutionality of prosecution by the Commission, and retention of its employees.     
As a part of ongoing review process on the Bill, the Committee will meet with various stakeholders such as Office of the Attorney General, Good Governance Committee of the National Assembly and Bhutan Transparency Initiatives in the following days.
