Buelwa Offering by the National Council

Buelwa Offering by the National Council

On the 6th day of the 8th Bhutanese month, the National Council, led by the Hon’ble Chairperson, Members, and Secretariat Staff, offered Buelwa during the Thimphu Lhamoi Dromche at Tashichhodzong, in the presence of His Eminence Dorji Lopen.

The sacred offering was made on behalf of the people of Bhutan to express gratitude to the Zhung Dratshang for invoking the guardian deities and safeguarding the well-being of the country and its people.

Held in the courtyard of Tashichhodzong, the Dromche showcased sacred mask dances dedicated to Bhutan’s chief protective deity, Pelden Lhamo.

The Thimphu Dromche is a significant festival that precedes the popular Thimphu Tshechu.
