
Economic Affairs Committee Continues Stakeholder Consultations on the State of Tourism in Bhutan
The
Economic Affairs Committee continues its stakeholder consultation meetings as
part of the ongoing review of the state of tourism in Bhutan.
On February 6, 2025, the committee met with the Royal Institute for Tourism and Hospitality (RITH), the meeting highlighted its role in promoting sustainable tourism practices, enhancing hospitality standards, and advancing tourism education in Bhutan.
This was followed by a meeting on February 7, 2025, with the Department of Culture and Dzongkha Development (DoCDD), which emphasized its crucial role in preserving Bhutan’s cultural heritage and integrating it as a key component of the nation’s tourism identity and economic development.
