
Hon’ble Chairperson Bids Farewell to UNICEF Bhutan Representative Ms. Andrea James
Ms.
Andrea James, the outgoing UNICEF Representative in Bhutan called on Hon.
Chairperson today.
The
Chairperson expressed his profound gratitude to UNICEF for its financial and
technical support to the Parliament, emphasizing the fruitful collaboration and
notable achievements realized during Ms. Andrea’s tenure.
He also conveyed his sincere appreciation to Ms. Andrea James for her dedication and commitment to strengthening bilateral relations during her tenure. Additionally, he extended his best wishes for her future endeavours, noting that her contributions to Bhutan through UNICEF will be fondly remembered. The Chairperson also acknowledged UNICEF's impactful programs that have greatly benefited Bhutanese communities under her leadership.
Similarly, Ms. Andrea James expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the support and collaboration extended by the Parliament during her tenure. She reflected on the positive outcomes achieved through the partnership and reaffirmed commitment to work closely with Bhutan in the future.
Ms. James’s tenure as UNICEF Representative in Bhutan will conclude in the first week of March 2025. She will then assume a new role in Afghanistan.
