National Council and National Assembly Offer Prayers at Ja Na Choedey Kurim

On the 25th day of the 11th Bhutanese month of the Wood Female Snake year, led by the Hon’ble Deputy Chairperson, Members and Secretariat staff from the National Council and National Assembly offered prayers at the ongoing Ja Na Choedey Kurim at Tendrelthang, Thimphu.

The Kurim is dedicated to the wellbeing and longevity of His Majesty The King, Her Majesty The Queen, the Royal Family, His Holiness the Je Khenpo, and to promoting peace and prosperity for the people and the country.

The five-day ceremony, presided over by Lopen Lyengye, former Lopens, and Lam Netens of Zhung Dratshang, began on January 24th and will end on January 28th, 2025.
