National Council Pays Tribute to Dr. Manmohan Singh

The Hon’ble Chairperson, Members, and Secretary General visited India House in Thimphu to sign the Book of Condolence opened by the Embassy of India in honor of the late Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, who passed away on December 26 at the age of 92.

Dr. Manmohan Singh was deeply admired in Bhutan for his visionary leadership and significant contributions to strengthening the enduring friendship between Bhutan and India. His passing marks a profound loss, but his legacy of fostering mutual respect and collaboration between the two nations will remain an enduring inspiration.

The National Council of Bhutan joins nation in offering our deepest condolences to his family and the people of India during this time of loss.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
